Our Commitment to Community Impact
At Our Space, we are committed to fostering empowerment, inclusion, and sustainable change in our community. Beyond our physical location, our reach extends into marginalized communities where support is needed most. Through strategic outreach, collaborative partnerships, and dedicated programs, we ensure that individuals living with mental health challenges have access to resources that support their recovery, stability, and overall well-being.
How We Make an Impact
1. Community Outreach & Engagement
We actively connect with underserved communities by providing support in areas with high rates of homelessness, substance use, and mental health disparities. This includes:

Milwaukee Community Collective – Participating in outreach events to provide direct peer support and essential resources.

TANF Program Support – Assisting families with Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) by providing guidance on resources for childcare, employment, and education.

Low-Income Housing Peer Support – Partnering with organizations to offer on-site mental health and peer support services to families living in low-income housing.

Member of the Mental Health Task Force helping identify issues and barriers facing all people affected by mental illness and or substance use through strong collaboration and advocation for consumers and families in and around Milwaukee County.

Member of the Mental Health Action Partnership (MHAP) a statewide coalition capable of substantially influencing ongoing mental health systems and improvement across the continuum of care.
2. Strengthening Recovery-Oriented Services
Our programs are designed to break barriers and make recovery accessible. Through our Drop-In Center, Peer Support Services, and partnerships with local organizations, we provide:
